Brief History
Kindling Hope Across Nations Initiative (KHAN) started in 2008 as Kan
Development Foundation (KAN). In 2013, as part of a restructuring of the
organization, it was registered with the Nigerians Corporate Affairs
Commission (CAC) a process which led to the change of name.
KHAN is a non-government and non-profit making organization governed by
a vibrant, gender balanced Board of trustees (BOT) which ensures the
fidelity of the organization to its mission and objectives. The BOT delegate
the day to day running of the organization to a management team made up
of the Executive Director and the head of Program, Finance, Admin and

Resource, Finance, Resource mobilization, Programs and Monitoring,

Livelihoods, Protection of the rights of Women and Children as well as

centered, evidence and needs based, innovative and are constantly
